Here in Arkansas we are pretty lucky. Front license plates are not required. I don't want to just stick any ole plate up there but it looks like something is missing off my front bumper with out one. Show me what you have.

If it's required to have a license plate on the front and you don't have one, can they write you a ticket?

Our law up here reads, Front plate must be displayed at the farthest most frontal part of vehicle. I know I used put it to the test with my IROC!

After 2 warning and a court appearance I reinstalled it!:(

That's why 2-plate state YOM plates are so expensive (especially California). It's hard to find YOM plates in matching pairs!

I know my C6 does not have a place for the front license plate. There a lot of guys over on the corvette forum that refuse to run them even if their state requires it. They had rather pay the fine than add a bracket to the front of their cars. I don't want an offical looking licese plate I want an aftermarket tag that says something like CHEVY II or a bow tie or some thing like that.

As my kid read the California law,if there is a bracket or holes for a plate, one must be attached. Weld 'em up!

A blank stainless tag keeps the front bumper from looking empty but also does not take your attention away from the hard work & details on the rest of the car.

Well thanks for all the help. Dad picked this up for me at the Super Chevy Show in Memphis this past weekend. It is GM product #99L0008. I need the rubber bumpers that go in the round holes in the top. I am not sure what they look like.

In Ma they have two series of plates, a one plate (green/white) and two plate (red/white). If you have a red series and are running one the cops will be quick to write you up (state especially). But now if the plate lettering/numbers is not perfectly clear, they will give you a ticket that can't be settled until you purchase new plates. The green plates date back to 1980, and the red came in about 1990, so people that have had the plates that long are reluctant to give them up.

Leave it to Mass to have something that screwed up.......

Mine fits the car, of course. It's just like the GM advertisement picture from 1974.

I found a nos bicentennial tag for my hometown of Huntsville recently. it's on my 72. Poor old nova really looks sad with one eye poked out and a busted filler panel... I have always been a fan of dressing a car out with local stuff from my area like this tag or maybe decals from local speed shops and of course I like period correct stuff like maybe an original tag from a superchevy show 30 years ago....
