I don't think so, I got mine from www.early-birds.com they're in Toronto ON. They usually let me know what is available at NAPA to save me money.

I buy them through the Advance where I work. It is an overnight part. I have the part number here somewhere, I will try and find it for you.

Yes, they are still available in Canada through any store that sells the Four Seasons line of heater and a/c stuff.

I don't have the number handy but I've sold a couple in the past year or two.

Are all the cores the same size for BB & SB cars. Are they the same piping etc.

The after market are all the same size OE are different, and the piping is in a different position too from SB to BB.

SB are close to the pass side rocker cover or more to the center of the firewall and BB are Further away from the pass side rocker cover nearer to the pass fender to clear the engine.

Taz

Question is, are the actual cores alone, identical. Could I install a Sb Core into a BB heater box.

The iMac does that I had to go back and ad text!:o

The actual repop core is smaller in width, to allow it to fit in a SB under dash box/case an OE BB core and box is about 1/4" wider then a SB. So if you want to make a SB car a BB car the only mod would be the blower box cover. Everything else hooks right up.

OE BB core in OE BB box, you have to ad foam for a repop to go in an OE Box.

I thought the SB heater core 'piping' is not long enough to extend out the SB cover if you were to rotate the outlets towards the fender ?

No, BB under dash has a larger opening, but the repop BB core are the same W & H as SB, so they'll fit in a SB under dash box. An OE BB core will will not fit in a OE SB under dash box.

You right the pipes are too short to just flip a SB core, just the diameters are the same not the lenght.

Yea Taz, Looking at the SB unit the tubes are not only shorter but they angle in towards the core to make clearence at the rear of the engine.

Sorry Craig, I tried. Good thing Taz knows his stuff.

Awsome, good to know. Hopefully i will be doing that swap before spring.

They actually have 2 different part #'s in the GM parts book.

Its possible to use the stock SB/I6 core and box by flipping the core, extending the pipes, cut out new holes and plug the originals. Did this on mine a long time ago.
