Column Shift Indicator?

I'm not for sure where the little metal tab on the wire connects on the steering column to show what gear you're in.:confused:

If my memory serves me correct...look on the right side of the upper part of the strg column at the bottom portion just off the edge... slide the 'clip' in line with the hole in the column using a screw to retain.

On my '71 there is a sort-of indented arc (does that make sense) on the right side of the column shroud. Just keep trying the little clippy in different places until the indicator lines up on the display.
