Anybody running Torq Thrust D's or a rim with 3.75" of Backspacing?

I have a set from my Camaro and I'm not sure if I should sell them or try to run them on the Nova.

The fronts fit fine - 15x7, 3.75" Backspacing, 215/60/15 tires.
The rear won't fit - 15x8.5, 3.75" Backspacing, 275/60/15 tires.

The rear is the issue- the 28" tires have a big sidewall and the rims would rub like crazy.

Does anybody on here run these, or a wheel with 3.75" of BS? Should I bother dismounting the 275s and go to a smaller tire or not even bother and sell the rims? I'm trying to maximize rubber without mini-tubbing.

the tire will fit, but you don't have enough backspacing for the wheels, you need at least 5 inches on a third gen with 15x8's

Thanks Jason. I have seen the Nova wheel fitment info on 2quicknovas.com but nothing really definitive. I'd like to fit 275/60s or even 295/50s under there if I can- but I think the 295s might be too big.

Yep, I run original Torq-Thrust Ds, 15x6 front and 15x7 (Porsche, now Chevy). 6s have 3.75 backspacing while the 7s have 4.75, perfect fit inside the rear wheelwells with adequate tire-to-fenderwell clearance. Oh yeah, both tires are 65 series, with 195 front, and 215 back. Later, RK

Me too. 18x8 with 5.25 back spacing and a 235/50. No rub, fills rear wheel well.
