Hey guys, Ive never had alot of time to do much more than check the classifieds and the local forum, but thanks to the sharply declining economy and a layoff it seems I have some free time on my hands.
Last summer I bought my first nova..a 69 ex-drag car that was rusting away behined an old truck drivers mobile home next to a trampoline. The car looked rode hard and put away wet but I didnt care. She had a 327 with a tunnel ram and 2 holley 450 carbs probably the reason i brought her home. I scoffed a little when the old man told me it ran low 12s consistantly. I realized how difficult that is,although possiable.

This car oozed nostalgia for me. 4 time keystone class winner stickers on it (our local strip) high jacker shocks keystone wheels. I was ready ! and tore into the project with feirce determination. This lasted OH Id say 3 months..until I realized by the time I replaced the 1/4s id be too deep. I had done the floors which wasnt that bad.but after pricing OEM 1/4s I decided to drop back and punt. At this point i was about 3500 in and had never even heard it fire. Due to some faulty wiring AKA a clusterfuk of toggle switches we melted half the harness. So we pulled the 327 out and sold the shell for 1500 with a 10bolt posi with 4.56s under it.
A young man of 17 bought the old nova and I snickered a little as my girlfreind said "Thank God, you got that eyesore out of the driveway! I'm tired of people thinking we own a junkyard."
Unbenounced to her the wheels had already been set in motion to replace the 69 with something even better.
BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!BWAHAHAHHAHA
