I'm getting ready to reinstall my rear with new multileafs and shocks. I'm ditching the air shocks that came with the car for some Monroe sensatracs. I'm very confused and I'm pretty sure I'm missing a bracket. Hopefully someone can shed some light on this.
These are close to what I purchased:

This looks like what I removed (upper white shock):

According to the site I pulled the bottom picture from I appear to be missing that oval mounting bracket. Can anyone confirm this and if so, where can I pick one up?
Found a better picture with the bracket in place:

Your shocks should have either come with the mounting bracket, or they gave you the wrong p/n.
My Bilstein shocks had the cross bracket in the upper eye mount, just like from the factory. I should know, I compared them side to side. Gotta love old grandma cars. :D

The mounting plate does not come with shock. The mounts were used 62-67 so it should be easy to find some.

Wouldn't it be easier to just send them back and get the right ones???

According to Ken and the site where I pulled the above image from the mounting brackets don't come with the shocks. I searched a few shock sites and I don't see any of them that have a bracket like this. I double checked my order and the Monroe site, what I need matches the number stamped on the side of the shock. I'm just missing parts of my car thanks to one of the previous owners.

Those are the right shocks...you need the mounting plates(ebay or maybe novajoe). You assemble the mounting plate to the shock then install the shock/plate to the car...then do the bottom. Its very easy. The one thing i notice is your monroe sesatracs are blue...Mine are black...Not sure if it matters? You will like the monroes very much!!They are a great smooth shock.bm

Oh, Is your car a 2nd Gen?

Yeah, second gen. I forgot to post that it's a 66.
My shocks are black as well. I grabbed that image from Chevy2only for reference since I seem to of lost both of my cameras. I've got sensatracs on my Mustang and they improved my ride a hundred fold. I'm sold on them. All of my driver cars will have the sensatracs from now on
