What's a good asking price for one of these transmissions? I know what Ebay prices are and I know what I've seen at swap meets in the past but it's been a while since I priced one at a swap meet. My dad has a couple of these transmissions and has a guy interested in buying one. I'm not sure what year they are but I do know they are good transmissions. He had one in his Corvette that he swapped out for an M21 and the other one is one that he built himself. He's had this stuff for years. He's not trying to rip anyone off but wants a fair price of course.

I see them go on E-bay for $5-600 on a regular basis.

m-20's are the earlier version of the m-21 and m-22 right? Or do they simply have diff. torque ratings?
The reason I ask is because i have a m-21 sitting in the garage and don't know too much about it. I am more familiar with the more recent t-56

If it's decent, 700 is a fair price.

This thread belongs in the "what's it worth" section, so I will move it there.
Thanks!

If it is a 7/8 inch counter pin, it will be worth a little less. 600 -700 is about right for a good M-20 with a 1 inch counter pin. 32 spline outputs (Post 70) will get a little more.

It doesn't have the 1" pin, it's the smaller one. They're both good transmissions. He told the guy $400 which is more than fair. Thanks for all the input guys.

The 69's fetch the most money.
M21 and M22 have the same ratios too, it's only the straighter cut gears in the M22 is the most significant difference.
