:confused:Who is running the 165 front tires on there 3rd gen? I have some 26" mickeys on the front of mine now and want to switch to a radial front tire and the 165 seems to be about as close as I can get. Does it fill the fender well fine? Pics would really be appreciated! Thanks!!

Fasteddie, I run 165/15 Kelly radails on a 15x5.5 rim. The tire looks small to me. I'm going to get some Sportsman S/R Radial 26'' x 6''R -15''LT to match the rears.
Here's a older pic.

Those tires look better on a 3.5" or 4" rim. I went from 165's to the Mickey's. The 165's always looked flat even with full air.

I am running a 4" wheel and the mickey's right now. I dont like the way the bias ply front tires track. I have drag radials in the rear and would like a radial front tire. I like the way the mickey's fit but I cant seem to find a radial tire as tall unless I go with the mickey s/r radials which are a little to expensive right now.

These are Pep Boys 165's that aren't available from them anymore (these are about 15 years old)

Tucker Tire in Covina has about the cheapest 165's I could find anywhere.

that's mounted on a 15x5" rim. I know it's a bad angle, but that's all i got besides my avatar. as long as the car sits low enough i feel that the tire looks fine.

that's the same rim/tire combo when it was on my (now wrecked and gone) '71. that car sat about 2" higher, which was probably stock ride height. it looked ok, but would have benefited greatly from sitting lower.
