I bought a 15*5 inch rim for my spare tire. I planned on using a 185/65-15 for my spare. I'm trying to find out what size are the skinnies people are using. I want a skinny tire to put in the trunk.

lol thats what i'm running up front now, and used those for 3 years of daily driving. honestly, you would be surprised at how well my car handles with those skinnies up front! hopefully the rears will be going up front and new rears will be coming.

oh, well i was calling my 185/65/15's skinnies, but i guess a lot of people run a lot smaller tires than that up front. a while back when i had a set of 15x3.5 front runners i was going to run 145's, basically you can look for an old VW beetle tire size and that will work pretty well.

had an 18" diameter steel rim jaguar space saver,26" tall,
as a spare,
now got a 15"x4" centerline prostock with 155x15 tyre,
half the weight of the jag wheel.

Ya, that is pretty skinny. I may stay with that size. Not sure yet. There are a lot of options.

I'm looking for them on-line but I can't find them 165/???-15

I'm trying to stay light and small. I did find a 155/80-15 that would work.

I run the Mickey Sportsman front 26x7.5/15. The 165's looked flat all the time.

running either a 165 or a 135 up front is what people use too use. it is a tire that people put on older volkswagons

It would be better to run it on the 4-inch wide, or wider, wheel. I ran my Sportsman Fronts on a set of 15x5s when my car was street driven.

yeah i was thinking the 4" wide rim is best for that tire, thats why i want to see a pic of it, anyone have a pic of that 28" MT tall with a 4" rim on it? thanks
