Ok I have spent about five hours going over all the threads for about the last two years. Allthough I have found alot of information I was looking for, thanks TAZ3 I still have a few questions. On the 1970 BB radiator it is a three core and acually mounts to the core support via the side brackets on the radiator correct?. There should also be weld nuts that these brackets should bolt to in the core support drivers and passingers side correct?. Now the radiator sits in the support in the two rubber mounts but they are not its main holding points this is to provide protection to the radiator correct? I also know that the BB support has a lorger opening as the radiator is longer I beleive 23". Please feel free to make corrections to any and all if needed. Any photos of the right radiator and its side brackets would be nice. I would like to buy the right radiator soon so that is why I have come to you all thanks agian.

There are 2 welded nuts and 2 rubber compressible nut so to speak, "well nut" they sell repops at NAPA.

As you tighten these they expand in the hole to secure the rad.

Welded nuts are on the pass. side...the rubber well nuts are on the driver's side...there are no rubber mounts under the radiator on the BB application. You can contact National Nostalgic Nova for a quality repro radiator or watch the online auctions for an original.
