Sounds like you may have set the set screw to tight. That is the set screw on top of the steering box.

The steering stops on the disc brake steering arms are different than the ones on the drum brakes. They limit how sharp you can turn. It's a common issue when changing from drums to disks on these cars.

The steering stops on the 62-63 4-lug setups are different than those that come with the 64-67 models. Using an old steering stop with a later steering arm will give you a turning radius equal to that of the Queen Mary....

The steering set screw should not affect turning radius. Jack the car up by the lower control arms and make sure you are getting full sweep to the steering-stops with no interference from the pitman arm, center link, or idler arm. The power and manual steering have the same turning ratio and radius. Is it possible you have any incorrect or mismatched parts installed? Can you take some pics of your steering setup?

I'm betting Mike is dead on on this one. If you changed to 5-lug spindles, and didn't change the lower steering arms it will take about twice the area to turn it around. The upper arms are the same between 4-lug & 5-lug, but not so with the lowers.
