Hey Guys - I installed a new set of Energy Suspension poly urethane body mount bushings. Does anyone know the torque spec for the bolts. I put them at 40 ft/lbs for now but suspect it's greater than that.

And what about lock tight - yes or no?

1969 Nova -

Thanks - Bos

The 4 that go to the body are 80 ft. lbs, and radiator core supports are 35 ft. lbs. That's from my 72 service manual. I can't see it being any different for a 69. I personally would not use lock tight, you might have to take them out sometime in the future. I would use grade 8 bolt's with lock washer's jmo

I replaced all of my factory rubber bushings with urethane bushings as well in my 71. The torque specs from GM assembly are 30-40 lbs ft. for the rad support and 75-90 lbs ft for the 4 body mounts. I put a little anti seize on the threads just in case I have to remove them. You should notice a nice difference in the drive ability of your car after the install. good luck
