Side trim question

I have my base 71 Nova with what I would call the normal side trim but I have seem novas with no trim and with trim that was different. I was wondering what the different's are.

I believe their is only 1 correct body side moulding. It's aluminum, held on to body with tabs welded onto the body. Anything different is probably added on by anther owner. Like the stuff that is held on with 3M adhesive.

I'm not 100% sure on 71's,but the 69-70's had 3 optional trims,the door guard(mid way up),the lower 1/2" molding,and or the lower finned rocker molding.They were available without any particular option group.My #'s L78 deluxe interior car with console and guages had no exterioe options at all.I guess the owner wanted the sleeper look outside the car.

My 69 has nothing.
