Nice work Craig! I wish I would have powder coated my frame instead of paining it as yours looks great.

Im going to run Baers new Pro plus 6 piston brakes. I ordered them 2 weeks ago so they should be here sometime soon.

the rear will be modified too....Im going to run the prodigy bar from prodigy customs ( same thing as air/g bar pretty much) with an M9 narrowed rear that is g bar ready with brackets welded on and qa1 coil overs. Id like to run a wheel with a 5 or 6 inch lip. Once i get my front end back on im getting DSE mini tubs installed as well. hopefully this will happen around christmas.

That heater panel will need to be welded in solid before you put any filler on it, otherwise over time the expansion and contraction will cause the seam to show or even crack. Never apply filler over an open or partially open lap joint.
Very clean car you have there. Bob

I wasn't going to use any body filler on the panel. I was going to caulk around the seam. I figured that would be more than fine for sealing that piece.

Here is an up date on my firewall. We primed it last night, then caulked it and painted it this morning.

Thanks for the comments guys....next on the to do list is to get my steering together and get a steering box. Im looking at the DSE box. I bought the steering rebuild kit from hotchkis. All of the steering pieces are like a "bare metal". Im afraid that if i leave these pieces like this that they will rust, so i painted the tie rods black. My center link and steering arms im going to get powder coated.

Painted tie rod ends

idler arm.....don't know if i should paint or not...i like the contrast with the frame. any ideas??

I also got the braided lines ran from the caliper to the frame.
http://i147.photobucket.com/albums/r297/cmthomp2/SANY0048.jpg

Once that is together I"ll be getting a front set of wheels. This is the wheel Im looking at, I can't decide if i want a brushed center or not. opinions welcome

Thanks crazy. The frame came out quite nice, and it really looked good once parts started going on it. I'm now waiting on steering linkage parts from the powder coater. Winter got here for real now so i think the car is going to sit till spring now. My fingers get cold quick now and it just takes the fun away. Ill be sure to keep the tread updated with pics of parts i get throughout the winter and any headway that i make

its one of the amish barns they bring. I think it is 12 X 20. i have a good 2 to 3 feet the whole way around the car, but it is a little too tight to do all of this work. If your looking to buy one i'd get it alot larger so you have have other stuff in it.

hi, im not trying to bust your chops, but the body mount at the firewall position is put in the wrong way. the thicker one should be on top while the thinner one should be on the bottom... and the reason is because the new solid thicker mount will take place of the factory 1/2" spacer and the original body mount as well... thats why its thicker.... just thought id let you know

Thanks...how about the rear one? because I have it mounted the same way, and it is the exact same bushing.
