Looking great man keep it up. you gonna block off the hole where the heater box was? Id say some aluminum valve covers and cleaner and it would look hot! Wish mine was in that phase with my 454....

The only thing I find worse than wiring chores is file fitting rings, takes forever.

BTW, love the field expedient tranny stand. :D

Looks great. Can't wait to see it done.

I am going through the same thing you just got done with.New bushings, springs, shocks and disc brakes with drop spindles.

How long did it take you to stripped the subframe and redo it all?

looks awesome.

I love these nova's

well it took me about 6 months from taking my engine out to puttin my fresh new 406 sbc in, everything was powdercoated and well worth it, man and i just ran into a problem.............i was out tinkering lol anyways just got my new transmission crossmember from cpp its a direct bolt in so i dont have to drill holes to relocate the crossmember, so to the point.....bolted the crossmember to the frame and set the transmission down on it and the damn tailshaft is off center , it wont budge either its solid....... the holes to bolt the polyurathane tranny mount to crossmember are off by about 1/4 inch to the right.......any of you ever had this problem???? what can i do......by the way my motor mounts are solid grade 8 steel......hope thats not the problem.....maybe thats why i have no give to the transmission tailshaft.................so if i can get any help its all appreciated thanks

My poly tranny mount had room to adjust it where it bolts to the tranny. Maybe loosen those bolts and see if that helps it line up.

Yep. Been there done that. Loosten up the frame mounts where they bolt to the front clip. Then get under the car and wiggle the tranny into place. Get the bolts in the tranny mount 1/2 way in, then go back and tighten the frame mount bolts back down. Tighten down tranny mount. Done! :)
