The vins aren't well documented on the Yenko's, iirc.
But seeing as how there's only 7 proven 69s left, chances are this isn't one. But if you like it and its in good shape, get it!
Just don't pay Yenko prices for it without LOTS of documentation...

Welcome to the site, btw.

A real yenko nova would be VERY RARE and SUPER EXSPENSIVE. If someone on here cant help you try yenko.net. I think only like 30 something were even made.

There's a couple guys with Yenkos that can help you with your question on our board.

But you can go HERE (http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php?Cat=) too.

Your VIN # is close to my May built L78 car that is originally from Ohio, not sure uf that's worth anything.

That VIN isn't on Yenko.net's list of 23 known VIN numbers, so it REALLY must be documented or else don't pay anything above what "clone" value would be. There were only 37 made, and I beleive 7-8 know to still exist. You'd need a build sheet showing a SS396 car, the trim tag will show a black interior (I beleive), the car will have a 12 bolt adn power disc brakes like all SS's.What's the trim tag info? Make sure the car was a color that Yenko originally offered his SC's in. You'd need a dealer invoice or a window sticker, possibly a protecto-plate to help verify this car. Any pictures? How about the engine numbers from the block, heads, and intake? What transmission/rear end? Lot's of good info at Yenko.net.

Tell us everything that the owner told you that makes him believe it's a real deal. The truth seems to be that there may have not been as many 427 conversions as originally thought. And while some vins are known, there's no way to tell by the vin if it was a conversion.
Tell us all you know, starting with color, and the items listed above.
