So I completely redid the front end steering and suspension on my 63. All stock, but good stuff (moog). I've never done this kind of work before but I was able to remove everything and put all new stuff on.
I didn't know I should have measured the tie rods or anything so I didn't. I just eyeballed it because I figured I would take it to a shop to get aligned afterwards.
So here's my question. Will an alignment shop be able to handle such an old car? How do they know what to set everything at so I can drive this thing? Also, am I gonna die driving the car to a shop to get an alignment? The wheels line up pretty good but I noticed the tires squeeling when I'm driving straight down the road.
Also, there is now a lot of play in the steering wheel. That wasn't there before. I didn't replace the pitman arm. I did everything else though. It has no power steering. I replaced the idler arm bushings with the bearing kit.
