Anyone have any experience in remounting a bench seat to gain some leg room?
I like my bench seat as its comfortable for road trippen.

all id do is move it back and up 1/4 inch

just make a piece to move it back

the stock bolt holes are made for it so ifyou want it back 3 inches

make a plate of 1/4 in steel make it 5 inch by 2 inch and round over the edges

then bolt through the plate to the original seat mounts

then bolt through the seat and plate through the floor and use a big fender washer under the floor

it works and is stronger than the stock setup

I find that 3rd gear (4spd) is hard to reach when I have the seat in a comfy spot!:(I'm 5'9"

I will pull it out tonight and see whats up.
I have 2 Summit bucket seats I want to see what they look like installed first.

Most people tell me I won't like them, but I would prefer the bench seat, I'm not to thrilled about drilling holes in my floor.

holes are alright as long as they are supported and as long as they are sealed just get an undercoating or gromett and then youre good

now buckets id build a frame for them so they sit like the bench and only use the stock holes
