My first track experience

It was a kick. I felt pretty good about my times, since the car is a 4-speed and I'm a complete novice. I did two 13.7 runs at around 106 mpg and a 13.4 at 108. I didn't bother heating up the tires or using the launch control. I wanted as few things to think about as possible for my first time out. The car ran pretty good, but I did run out of fuel pressure at the higher rpms. I have an old carter electric pump with 1/2" line all the way. I think I'm going to have to go to a higher volume pump with a return line.

where can i get a setup that gets 106mpg? that sounds very appealing.

btw figuring out a stick car is a lot of fun. tell us about your combo a little more, possibly in the drag racing section and you're sure to get pointers. with that mph you should be somewhere in the mid to low 12's in my opinion. maybe mid because it's a stick.
