has any one here ran a wheel and tire combo in this size 17x7 and 17x8 with a 4.0 and 4.5 backspacing? what size tires did you use front and back? 225 45 and 235 45? maybe? would that work? who here knows tires really well?!?!

EDIT: I am more concerned if anyone has ran the wheel size not so much on the back space.

You've asked a very specific question, so it may take a while for the very specific answer to come along.

previous combo was similar to above. ran a 275/40 on a 17x8 w/ 4.75 bsp on the rear.. now run a 275/45 on a 18x9 with 5.75 bsp and a 18x8 w 5.5" bsp w a 235/40, wish it was a 245/40

im running spc arms...on the previous setup with stock arms, dropped spindles and qa1's my tires would hit the fender liner.. once i weant to adj upper arms and the ats spindles all of my bump steer is gone and as the suspension cycles in its compression stroke the camber gain is incredible. allowing me to run an even bigger front tire if i wanted to with zero rub..

as far as the rear is concerned i have a slight tire rub when i pound on the car. it up high in the qtr panel, those types of things clear them selves.
