I was going through all of the 3rd Gen pics posting and WOW what great looking cars. I saw a mixture of both vinyl and uncovered tops. So here is a little poll or question. What made you keep your vinyl top or get ride of it? What do those of you who never had a vinyl top think of them?
I as this because I am debating on keeping mine or scraping it. They look great both ways!
Oh and one more thing does any on know where I can buy an new rear window molding i have looked every where and can not locate one any suggestions?

My car from the factory did not have a vinly roof. When I purchased it it had one. I like the looks, but it will cover up the rust repair that was there and what I did. i will put one back on.

When I bought my car it had one already. I have a another nova, 72 that doesn't have one but when everythings all done it will. To me it all depends on the color of the car..

Neither of my Novas came with vinyl tops, but I like them either way. If the car didn't come with one, I wouldn't put one on, but if it did have one, I would keep it. I don't think I would ever put a new one on though. In other words, if I bought a car that had a vinyl top that was no good, I would remove it, and not put a new one on.

My car came with one. When i purchased it the top had been removed so i put it back. I like them all no matter what top is on it. I have even seen trim for a top and no top that looked good.

I like the looks of a Vinyl top and even more so because the newer cars don't have them.
